Total (excluding GST) : Rs. 17000
Items (1) & (2) will not be refunded in case the student discontinues. Books issued once will not be taken back.
Discontinuing Class Room Coaching
A student who wants to discontinue the class room coaching has two options.
1) Change to correspondence course OR
2) request for refund of eligible amount.
The decision should be taken immediately when the student discontinue the course.
A student who wants to change from one course to another will be allowed to do so if space permits. A separate request letter should be submitted by the parent and the parent should sign in the course change register.
NB:- A student choosing Correspondence course or Correspondenc cum Intensive Programme for Medical/Engineering, IIT-JEE, NEET entrance examination batches and the repeaters joining for individual subject tuition are not eligible for any fee refund. Repeaters batch students changing in to Correspondence stream should make private arrangement to collect the question papers and other modules issued. They can come and collect directly or they can entrust the hostel warden.
REFUND OF FEES
If you discontinue the class room course, you have joined, you are entitled for a refund of fee, only as per the following norms
a) The applicaton for refund must be made in the prescribed form available free of cost from the office on request.
b) Admission fees will not be refunded. It is the cost of Registration form, Brochure, Joining memo, List of hostels, Application forms, Identity cum Mark card and office procedures.
c) The cost of study material supplied at the time of admission or later will not be refunded.
d) An amount of Rs. 1000 will be deducted as refund processing fee.
e) For getting refund of the remaining amount, the parent or guardian (not student) has to apply in the prescribed application form. The application should be submitted in person and should sign in the refund register. He will get a receipt indicating the date of receiving the application. The date of receiving the application will be taken for calculating the amount of refund and so application should be submitted on the day of discontinuing the course itself.
f) Maximum refundable amount will be as follows.
1. Sunday and Vacation batches
Maximum refundable amount : Rs. 29000 Minimum number of sessions offered : 97 (each of 4 hrs duration) Amount deducted per session conducted at the centre : Rs. 300 No refund after 97 sessions
2. Repeater batches (Engineering)
Maximum refundable amount : Rs. 33000 Amount deducted per session of 4 hrs conducted at the centre : Rs. 300 No refund after 110 sessions
3. Repeater batches (Medicine)
Maximum refundable amount : Rs. 37000 Amount deducted per session of 4 hrs conducted at the centre : Rs. 300 No refund after 124 sessions
4. Regular batches (Entrance coaching)
Maximum refundable amount : Rs. 29000 Minimum number of sessions offered : 116 (each of 1½ hrs duration) Amount deducted per session conducted at the centre : Rs. 250 No refund after 116 sessions
5. Regular batches (Regular tuition only)
Maximum refundable amount for 1st year / 2nd year : Rs. 13500 Minimum number of sessions offered : 54 (each of 1½ hrs duration) Amount deducted per session conducted at the centre : Rs. 250 No refund after 54 sessions
6. Bridge course
Maximum refundable amount : Rs. 10500 Minimum number of sessions offered : 42 (each of 3 hrs duration) Amount deducted per session conducted at the centre : Rs. 250 No refund after 42 sessions
Note:- (1) Number of sessions taken for deduction at the above dates will be the sessions conducted at the centre between the starting of the course and the receipt of refund application. Whether the student was actually present or not is not taken into consideration and so the parent or guardian should apply immediately for refund when their ward discontinues the course.
(2) The actual number of sessions conducted may be more than that quoted above. It depends on the time available before the examination. Any how those sessions will not be included for refund.
g) The following items namely (1) Fee Receipt (2) Identity cum Mark card must be surrendered along with the application for refund. Without the above items, the refund cannot be made.
h) The refund amount will be given as crossed cheque in the name of the parent or guardian within 60 days after the receipt of the application for refund.
i) Application for refund, received after the termination of the specified period mentioned in 'e' above, will not be considered for refund.
